Unlimited Love, mass bleaching events, and more: THE WEEKLY RECAP (2022#13)

Quite a busy week at work, and tomorrow I am traveling to Strasbourg for some days to assist my first conference since the pandemic started. Very few links to share, and probably next week will be even more brief.

Say goodbye to corals

Last week I talked about the extreme temperature changes that were recorded both at Antartica and the Arctic, and now I see that the Great Barrier Reef has suffered a mass coral bleaching event. I cannot stand how people in a couple generations will find such a different planet that the one I was born in.

Nuclear dangers

Interesting read on some of the effects of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Not long after the conflict started, the radiation levels at Chernobyl quintupled, and the people at the MIT Technology Review have done a really interesting interview with an expert on the topic talking about this and the other nuclear facilities on the country.

Double Pepper, red and hot

My boys are finally back, and the full album is 🌶🔥🌶🔥🌶. Mad Stadium Arcadium vibes, and incredible work by Frusciante after his hiatus. Can’t wait to enjoy the live show in June (let’s go BARCELONA!!!)

And that’s it for the week. Stay safe!
