El 8 de Agosto, Esther Irles asistió al Student Chapter Leadership Workshop en San Diego, como presidenta del SPIE GOC chapter. Participó en las actividades para estudiantes y presentó las actividades del GOC en la sesión de posters para Student Chapters, donde tomó nota de nuevas ideas de actividades de los demás chapters.

Esther asistió a eventos, tales como Women in Optics, Optics Outreach Games, Student Lunch with the experts, etc. Además tuvo una contribución como charla, en la sesión de imagen a través de medios de scattering, en el congreso SPIE Optics+Photonics. En la conferencia y en el workshop de los estudiantes, Esther tuvo la oportunidad de conocer gente muy interesante de Chile, China, Letonia, Bélgica, Méjico, Sud África, Túnez, EEUU, Canadá, Rusia, etc.

Aparte de los eventos científicos y las interesantes charlas del congreso, descubrió los lugares más bonitos de San Diego para visitar, haciendo turismo en su tiempo libre.

¡Fue una gran experiencia y realmente inolvidable!

On 8^th of August, Esther Irles attended the Student Chapter Leadership Workshop in San Diego, as a SPIE GOC chapter president. She participated in the student activities and presented the GOC Activities at the Student Chapter poster session, where new ideas for activities were taken from other chapter.

She attended events like Women in Optics, Optics Outreach Games, Student Lunch with the Experts, etc. Moreover She had a contribution as a talk, in the ‘Imaging through scattering media’ session, at the SPIE Optics+Photonics conference. At the conference and at the student workshop, Esther had the opportunity to meet very great people from Chile, China, Latvia, Belgium, Mexico, South Africa, Tunis, USA, Canada, Russia, etc.

As well as the scientific meetings and the interesting conference talks, she discover the most beatiful places in San Diego to visit, making tourism in her free time.

It was a great and really unforgettable experience!
